Senior Voice User Interface Designer

Tell-Eureka is a leading provider of intelligent, multi-channel self-service applications that combine speech recognition and Web technologies. Our LevelOne Virtual CSR automated agents interact with callers over the phone to troubleshoot and resolve technical support problems and answer other customer service inquiries.

Tell-Eureka is an exciting, fast-paced company with great people, innovative technology and plenty of opportunity for professional growth. We have an immediate opening on our Voice User Interface design team for a highly motivated Senior VUI Designer to create LevelOne automated agents. The right candidate for this position has a solid background in building and deploying high volume, customer-facing voice applications with complex process flows and enjoys working in a collaborative and results-driven environment . Applicants must have extensive experience in application design, implementation and tuning with a minimum of one application in production for 6 months or more.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product managers and customers to understand business processes and procedures.
  • Design and implement call flows using Tell-Eureka’s graphical authoring tool that enables the VUI designer to design, test and deploy voice self-service applications quickly and efficiently.
  • Create a high quality caller experience using natural language understanding, mixed initiative and directed dialogs.
  • Work with Tell-Eureka’s speech scientists to write and tune grammars.
  • Work with analysts and speech engineers to identify performance and quality improvements to call flows by analyzing reports and call audio recordings.
  • Work with product managers and engineers to define requirements for enhancing Tell-Eureka’s design tools.
  • Contribute to Tell-Eureka’s VUI best practices.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • At least 5 years of VUI design and implementation experience.
  • Experience with analysis, design and deployment of high volume customer-facing voice self-service applications.
  • Experience using rapid application design tools for VUI applications.
  • Expert in Microsoft Visio or equivalent graphical design tool.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and results-focused environment.
  • Team player who welcomes feedback on his/her work.
  • Strong work ethic; committed to meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Experience with Scansoft speech platform and analytical tools (OSI).
  • Experience writing grXML grammars.
  • Experience in creating voice applications for consumers.
  • Experience designing and conducting customer usability studies.

Senior Software Engineer

We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated individual to participate in the design and development of our products using cutting edge technology. The right candidate for this position is someone who has a proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise Web applications using Microsoft.NET.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of tools and libraries to support integration between Tell-Eureka’s LevelOne Virtual Support Center product and customer systems and databases. He or she will work closely with Tell-Eureka’s product group, account managers and operations team. This position is critical in allowing Tell-Eureka to deliver highly scaleable and reliable self-service solutions to its customers.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement scaleable services that integrate with customer systems and databases.
  • Prototype and implement plug-in libraries and Web services for the LevelOne Virtual Support Center product.
  • Produce functional specifications for all development work.
  • Assist the operations team in deploying and managing our products in production.
  • Provide input into the design and implementation of Tell-Eureka’s products, such as the LevelOne Support Center product, visual authoring tool, reporting infrastructure and other integration components.

Experience/Skills

  • 5+ years of object-oriented software design, analysis and development
  • 5+ years experience in Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and IIS platform issues, including thread management, event logging, deployment strategies and security
  • 4+ years experience with SQL Server 2000. Current Oracle experience is a plus.
  • 4+ years experience with XML, XSL and/or X-Path
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET based solutions using C#, Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET and ADO.NET. Deep knowledge of the .NET framework, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL) and CLR.
  • Experience in UML and similar design patterns, a plus.
  • Knowledge of speech recognition systems and languages, such as VoiceXML or SALT, desirable.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including specification-writing abilities.
  • Keen ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented development environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Stable work history.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or equivalent experience. Master's degree a plus.

Project Manager

Tell-Eureka is an exciting, fast-paced company with great people, innovative technology and plenty of opportunity for professional growth. We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated Project Manager to coordinate all aspects of new customer deployments and customer service. The right candidate for this position has a solid background in project management and enjoys working in a collaborative and results-driven environment .

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of the Tell-Eureka delivery schedule for new and ongoing customer deployments including the deployment-related tasks of the Engineering, Product Marketing, Operations and Sales teams.
  • On-time delivery of new customer deployments including participation in pre-deployment meetings and conference calls, meetings at call centers with management and technical staff, agent education, and any deployment-related special activities.
  • Point person for day-to-day management of all activities with the customer including status and performance of existing deployments, roll-outs to new call centers, requests for and delivery of additional services and product enhancements.
  • Regular communication with Tell-Eureka’s management on all activities.

Experience/Skills

  • 5+ years of experience working with or at large enterprise accounts.
  • Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across all levels of the customer organization.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical customer contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities among various stakeholders in order to achieve delivery dates.
  • Proven ability as a self-starter and able to work independently as a part of small team.
  • Experience with call center solutions or call center consulting, a plus.
  • Experience working for a software vendor, a plus.
  • MBA, a plus.
