and technical talent.
Zor Gorelov, Founder and CEO
Zor has more than 16 years of experience in the
software industry. He was the founder and CEO of
BuzzCompany.com, a premier software products company
that developed and marketed collaboration and messaging
solutions. When BuzzCompany was acquired by Multex.com
in 2000, Zor served as Senior Vice President. Prior
to starting BuzzCompany Zor was a Senior Consultant
at Microsoft Corporation where he worked with Fortune
500 financial services companies. Previously he
held management positions at Computron Software
and Information Builders. Zor’s first experience
as an entrepreneur was in Russia where he started
a medical billing services company. His interest
in speech technology dates back to 1992 when he
worked at Bell Labs. Zor graduated Tbilisi University
in the Republic of Georgia with a degree in electrical
engineering.
Ruth Reiter Brown, Founder and President
Ruth has over 30 years of experience in the software
industry and management consulting. Ruth was a
founder and COO of BuzzCompany.com and became
a Vice President at Multex.com with the BuzzCompany
acquisition. In 1986 she started Reiter, Brown
& Co., a management-consulting firm, and in
1981 co-founded Software Corporation of America
(SCA), a software company serving the Fortune
500. Previously she was a consultant for John
Rhodes & Co., and held management and software
engineering positions at Control Data Corp. and
Sears. Ruth is a graduate of the University of
Wisconsin. She was named to the NY City YWCA Academy
of Women Achievers in 1984 and volunteers for
the University of Wisconsin Union and the Shaker
Museum and Library.
Alan Pan, Vice President of Product
Marketing
Alan has over 10 years of experience in developing
products and technology, and in delivering new products
to market. Previously as Director of Product Marketing
for BuzzPower collaboration and messaging products
for Multex.com, Alan was the driving force behind
marketing and evangelizing the BuzzPower product.
As Director of Solutions at BuzzCompany.com, Alan
successfully delivered large Web applications for
major corporations. Before BuzzCompany, Alan worked
for Wall Street Services where he developed and
operated Staffway.com, an end-to-end Web-based solution
for the consulting industry, and for J.P. Morgan.
Alan graduated from Mount San Antonio College with
a major in Management Information Systems.
Victor Goltsman, Founder and Vice President of
Operations
Victor is responsible for deployment and operations
of Tell-Eureka solutions. He has over 16 years of
management and hands-on experience in project management,
system engineering, network and data communications
systems, software applications, and technology training.
Victor was Vice President of Infrastructure at BuzzCompany.com
and a Vice President at Multex.com with the BuzzCompany
acquisition. Previously, Victor was a consultant
to McGraw Hill. In 1992, he co-founded Mutual Data
Inc., a New York-based technology training company.
Victor received a research engineering degree in
1983 from Polytechnic University in Perm, Russia,
and a degree in computer science in 1986 from Moscow
City College. His professional certification includes
MCNE, ECNE and MCP.
Roberto Pieraccini, Chief Technology Officer
An internationally renowned speech scientist with
more than 25 years in research and developing
commercial speech applications, Roberto has been
on Tell-Eureka’s Advisory Board since 2001. Until
he joined Tell-Eureka, Roberto managed the Conversational
Interaction Technology department at the IBM Thomas
J. Watson Research Center, where he focused on
improving the development process and the quality
of human-machine spoken communications. Before
that, he led the Natural Dialog group at SpeechWorks
(now ScanSoft). In 1990, he joined the Speech
Research Group at AT&T Bell Labs and later AT&T
Labs. Roberto’s career started at CSELT (now Telecom
Italia Lab) after he completed his Dr. Eng. degree
from the Universita’ degli Studi di Pisa, Italy.
He holds several patents and has authored more
than 100 publications on the subjects of speech
recognition, language modeling, language understanding
and dialog. Roberto is a frequent keynote speaker
at industry conferences and academic symposia.
